Welcome to Yorkshire Rose Cycling Club
Hello and welcome to Yorkshire Rose Cycling Club, Sheffield’s newest and fastest growing women’s cycling club. Founded in May 2016 by Jackie Kirkman and Clare Froggatt, the club offers women a fun and supportive network to develop their cycling, get fit, make new friends and, most importantly, eat cake!
Members can access a range of rides that leave from various start points around Sheffield, and are carefully planned to include everyone from the gentlest to the hardiest riders in our 3 ride types (Green, Amber & Red – see ‘Rides Types’ under the ‘Ride Calendar’ menu for details).
Yorkshire Rose CC has grown rapidly to almost 100 members who meet regularly for rides and social events. Club rides are on Saturdays & Sundays all year round, with 3 grades of rides to suit all from the most steady cyclist to more challenging routes. Members often organise ad-hoc midweek rides too.
Every ride includes the all important cafe/cake stop, and the emphasis is on a supportive ride where no one is left behind.
YRCC has it’s own striking kit, with a variety of items available for members to order – short & long sleeve cycling tops, shorts, tights etc. See our kit page for more details & to order.
